Steady
A private nutrition and fitness tracker for iPhone. Two apps in one: an adaptive calorie budget if you're losing weight, and training-driven fuelling if you're training for something. Everything you log stays on your phone — there is no account and no server.
Most tracking apps ask you to weigh every gram and trust a textbook formula for how much you burn. Steady does the opposite: describe your dinner in a sentence and let AI itemize it, and let the app learn your real burn rate from what actually happens to your weight.
What makes it different
It knows why you’re here. Setup asks whether you’re losing weight or training for something, and you get a genuinely different app either way — a budget and a trend line, or today’s session with the fuel built around it. See Modes.
The budget adapts to you. After a couple of weeks of logging, Steady compares what you actually ate against how your weight trend moved and works out what you’re really burning — instead of trusting the equation it started with. See Your calorie budget.
Food logging doesn’t feel like data entry. Type or dictate “chicken burrito bowl with guac,” photograph the plate, or paste a recipe link, and every component comes back as its own line with a full nutrition panel. See Food logging.
Training changes what you should eat. A scheduled workout adds its burn back to that day’s calories and its fluid needs to your water goal, and tells you carbs-per-hour for long sessions, what to eat before, and what to eat after. Athlete mode goes further: it imports your plan from TrainingPeaks, periodizes carbs to each day’s load, and sets hydration from your own measured sweat rate and the local heat index. See Workouts & fueling.
It’s genuinely private. No account, no analytics, no server. Your log lives in a container on your device, progress photos and your cycle log sit behind Face ID, and the only things that ever leave are the meal descriptions you explicitly send for an AI estimate. See Photos & your data.
